The disrobed body of a girl was found from the drain from where IB security assistant Ankit Sharma’s cadaver was recovered a day before. A television news channel’s crew reached the basement of now expelled AAP councillor Tahir Hussain’s house where they found burnt undergarments of the victim.
Sudarshan News‘ coverage of the crime follows.
The body of the girl was reportedly found in a naked condition.
Earlier in the day, an FIR was lodged against AAP councillor Tahir Hussain, who had not been expelled yet from the party, with charges of murder, arson and rioting under the pretext of ‘democratically’ and ‘peacefully’ protesting against the amended citizenship law (CAA). He has been charged under Sections 365 and 302 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).
Hussain and his men were seen in videos that Twitter users had posted, wielding a stick, throwing stones and hurling petrol bombs at people from the roof of his Chand Bagh house on 25 February.
Meanwhile, hundreds of people marched from Delhi’s Kerala House to Jantar Mantar to pay tributes to murdered policemen Sharma and Ratan Lal. Sirf News columnist Rajesh Kumar Singh sent the following videos of the march organised by a forum called Youth against Jihadi Violence.
Ratan Lal had succumbed to a bullet injury. An anti-CAA rioter had shot at him.
The postmortem report of IB employee Sharma has arrived. It describes knife marks all over his body, indicating how gruesome his murder was.
Sharma’s family has held Hussain responsible for the murder. According to the family, they had heard some people screaming for help. Hearing the cries, Ankit went out to help.
His mother stopped him, the family said, but he did not listen and then he never returned. The family kept searching for him till 3 AM on Wednesday. It was at 10 after the daybreak that some neighbours informed the kin that his body was found lying inside the Chand Bagh drain.
Sources say the autopsy showed about 400 knife marks on Sharma’s body, which was recovered from a drain near Hussain’s house where today the naked body of a woman was found. The report says he was stabbed “with sharp objects” for about six hours until he died.
Following the furore over the two incidents of crime, the AAP expelled Hussain.
Earlier, Delhi Police had sealed Hussain’s house located in Khajuri. The cops found stones, slingshots and petrol bombs on the roof of his house as had been reported on social media.
Meanwhile, self-certified atheist Javed Akhtar expressed his sympathies for Tahir Hussain whom he believes Delhi Police is unduly harassing.
