This is why Narendra Modi did not work for Hindus or Muslims

When the Sachar Committee reached Gujarat, the retired judge asked Narendra Modi what he had done for Muslims. The then CM of the State said, 'Nothing!' 'I did not do anything for Hindus either,' Modi added.

New Delhi: Prior to the Lok Sabha election, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has said, when he was the chief minister of Gujarat, he did nothing for the Muslims. He said that he will not do anything for the Muslims. He said that he did not do anything for the Hindus either. As the chief minister of Gujarat, he said, he worked for the good of the people of the entire State. “Never discriminated between Hindus or Muslims,” the prime minister said.

The prime minister made the statements above in an exclusive interview with ABP News. “To Narendra Modi, What is a Muslim?” In response to this question, Modi said, that the Congress-led UPA government had formed the Sachar Committee to assess the situation of Muslims. He was the chief minister of Gujarat those days. When the Justice (retired) Sachar reached Gujarat, he asked Narendra Modi, “What did you do for the Muslims?”

In response to this question of the committee, Modi said that he did nothing for the Muslims of Gujarat. He will do nothing for the Muslims of Gujarat. He further said that he did not do anything for the Hindus either. There will be nothing done for the Hindus, he recounted on ABP News.

Modi told the committee that the purpose of his government was to make a plan for every family of Gujarat. His government planned to develop families, Modi said he had told the Justice Sachar Committee.

Modi said that the ruling class should never make any plan for any particular section of the population. He said that, when he says that every poor person in the country will have his own house till 2022, he does not discriminate between Hindu or Muslim at any time.

The prime minister said it was not part of his rule of governance that he would divide the country into caste, class and religion. His government is for “Sabka saath, Sabka Vikas” (cooperation with and development of all), he repeated his 2014 electoral promise and slogan. Modi said his government and he are moving ahead on this very principle.
