The Wire furnishes ‘fabricated’ document when challenged by Meta to prove allegation

Leftist-Islamist propaganda website The Wire, in a report published on 10 October, said that BJP's was an all-powerful man who could get any post pulled down from platforms like Facebook and Instagram. The report was titled "If BJP's Reports Your Post, Instagram Will Take It Down — No Questions Asked".

After the report was published, Meta communications chief Andy Stone dismissed the story, saying it was based on fabricated documents. However, The Wire would not let go of the story despite being told expressly that it had no substance. The propaganda website did another story on 11 October, where it alleged that the documents the media house had used were not fabricated. To support its baseless allegations, The Wire shared a screenshot of an alleged email from Andy Stone, which purported to project he was upset with an internal document reaching the public domain without his knowledge.

The angry META chief information security officer was forced to come up with his exposé of yet another propaganda against his company, explaining that The Wire's entire reporting was fabricated and based on forged documents. Meta's CISO Guy Rosen shared a source on Twitter in which he elaborated how The Wire's report made no sense.

Rosen tweeted, "I wanted to set the record straight about two stories run this week by @thewire_in with untrue claims about Meta's content moderation operations and processes. tl;dr (sic) these stories are fabrications."

In the thread, Rosen said that both The Wire's reports were completely false and that they misinterpreted their cross-check program. He also shared several discrepancies in the report, which included email addresses that were not used by Andy Stone, URLs that were not in use and addresses that were not used by his company.

Not to sound hostile, however, Guy Rosen ended his thread, expressing the hope that The Wire was a victim of deceit and unintentionally propagating falsehoods.
