The body of a terrorist who had killed two truck drivers in Jammu and Kashmir‘s Anantnag district has been recovered by the police. Jammu and Kashmir Police said the body had been identified. This happened on a day when 28 European Union (EU) parliamentarians are visiting the region.

The truck driver killed by the terrorist was identified as Narayan Dutt, a resident of Reasi. This is the fourth attack in a week in the Kashmir Valley. Terrorists had earlier killed two truck drivers in Shopian. Jammu and Kashmir Police said that another driver said that the murderer in both cases is the same terrorist.

Earlier, two terrorists, including a suspected Pakistani national, had shot a Rajasthan truck driver dead and attacked a gardener in Shopian. The terrorists set fire to two trucks carrying apples and shot the driver. In Sopore this month, terrorists set a truck full of apples on fire. Apart from this, 40-year-old truck driver Sharif Khan from Bharatpur in Rajasthan was shot dead by terrorists and the truck was set on fire. This incident was also in this month.

Pakistan behind terrorist attack

Jammu and Kashmir DGP Dilbag Singh on Sunday called it an attack on the economy. He said that together with Pakistan, terrorists want to end the livelihood of local people. Dilbag Singh had said that the economy of Jammu and Kashmir rests on horticulture and tourism. With the help of Pakistan, terrorists want to harm both of them.

Pakistan-backed terrorists intended to create panic among traders of products including apples in the Kashmir Valley with these attacks. The government is encouraging businesses here whereas a success business environment would fail the Pakistani propaganda that Kashmiris are happy to be in India and have come to terms with the end of Article 370.

EU’s 28-member parliamentary delegation on Tuesday reached the Kashmir Valley in the first visit of any international delegation in what is going to be officially a union territory in two days.
