Close on the heels of the allegation that Tej Pratap Yadav, the elder son of RJD supremo Lalu Prasad Yadav and former health minister of Bihar, had thrashed up two party leaders on the day of the Iftar hosted by Tejashwi Yadav, the party’s Patna Metropolitan president Ramraj on 25 April narrated his ordeal to the media outside the party office. Ramraj alleged that Tej Pratap Yadav had called him inside a room on the day of the Iftar and beat him up badly.
The young RJD leader said Tej Pratap also threatened that if he stayed in the party, he would be shot dead within 10 days.
Ramraj has also alleged that Tej Pratap abused Lalu Prasad Yadav and Tejashwi Yadav that day. Lalu Yadav’s elder son said in his defence that Ramraj was making false accusations at the behest of RJD state president Jagdanand Singh, Tejashwi’s advisor Sanjay Yadav and MLC Sunil Singh.
RJD leader Ramraj, who reached the party office on Monday, alleged further that Tej Pratap Yadav made him do objectionable things and shot a video of the act. Ramraj claims that Tej Pratap Yadav used expletives for Tejashwi Yadav and Lalu Prasad Yadav.
Ramraj said that Tej Pratap Yadav was upset with many RJD leaders including Jagdanand Singh and Sunil Singh. He said that he, along with his followers, reached the state office to resign after the alleged incident.
Ramraj said that he narrated the incident to the state RJD president, but the party took no action. Ramraj said that he has evidence to support his allegations that he would furnish the same to the media in due course.
Tej Pratap Yadav said on Twitter that a conspiracy was being hatched against him. State President Jagdanand Singh, Tejashwi Yadav’s advisor Sanjay Yadav and MLC Sunil Singh were using Ramraj as a proxy. “I always respect my party’s workers,” the controversial son of Lalu Prasad Yadav tweeted.
