Sushant did not commit suicide: Sister asks Wikipedia to edit article

Priyanka, sister of the late actor, tweeted on 19 July, urging Wikipedia to change the cause of his death as mentioned on the site

It was on 14 June 2020 that Sushant Singh Rajput was found dead in his Mumbai apartment. While his death was initially ruled a suicide by the Mumbai Police, the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) is now probing the mysterious death. However, the actor’s Wikipedia page cited “suicide” as the cause of his death till 19 July 2021. Sushant’s sister Priyanka Singh took to Twitter to urge the site’s founder Jimmy Wales and co-founder Larry Sanger to change the cause of death from ‘suicide by hanging’ to ‘under investigation’.

There are several unanswered questions in the Sushant Singh Rajput death case, which the CBI, the Control Bureau (NCB) and the Enforcement Directorate (ED) are now investigating from different angles. His sister Priyanka Singh is trying to get ‘suicide by hanging’ removed from his Wikipedia page.

Priyanka tweeted, “I am Sushant’s sister and I thank you @lsanger for being a credible voice for Neutrality. In today’s world when information is power, sticking to Facts and Facts alone is the greatest service one can do #JusticeForSushantSinghRajput.”

She wrote in another tweet, “My demand from @Wikipedia @jimmy_wales is: Firstly, as the investigation is still ongoing in Sushant`s death case by top Indian agency, Central Bureau of Investigation, the cause of death cited on wiki page should be changed from ‘suicide by hanging’ to ‘under investigation’.”

Priyanka Singh asked Wikipedia founder to change Sushant Singh Rajput’s height and wrote, “Secondly, change Sushant`s height on the wiki page to 183cm as who can be a more reliable source than the person himself. Hear it out from Sushant`s mouth @Wikipedia @jimmy_wales.”

She then attached a video where Sushant can be seen talking about his height.

Earlier, Smita Parikh had questioned Wikipedia’s credibility as it had mentioned Sushant Singh Rajput’s cause of death as suicide. Larry Sanger responded to her and posed the question to his followers whether it would be right for Wikipedia to get in the middle of this matter.

Currently, Wikipedia states ‘suicide by hanging’ as Sushant Singh Rajput’s cause of death.

The CBI is currently investigating Sushant Singh Rajput’s death, while the NCB and the ED are investigating the drugs and financial angles of the case respectively.

His last film was Dil Bechara that was released post his unfortunate demise. The film was an adaptation of John Green’s 2012 novel The Fault in Our Stars. The film stars Sushant Singh Rajput and Sanjana Sanghi as terminal cancer patients.
