Entertainment Sushant case: Rhea made a lot of calls to Mahesh Bhatt from...

In a fresh development in the Sushant Singh Rajput death case, the details of calls history between actress Rhea Chakraborty and film director Mahesh Bhatt has revealed that there there was a spike in calls between the two from 8 to 13 June.

It’s worth noting that Rhea Chakraborty, who claimed to be Sushant’s girlfriend, had left his house on 8 June, the same day late actor’s ex-manager  Disha Salian committed suicide, while Rajput was found dead at his Bandra apartment in Mumbai on 14 June.

Between 8 and 13 June several calls (16 calls) were made to Mahesh Bhatt from Rhea’s number, ED sources said.

The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has intensified the probe against actress Rhea Chakraborty in the case as the income tax returns filed by Rhea shows a discrepancy in her income. Rhea, her brother Showik Chakraborty and her father Indrajit Chakraborty questioned by the ED today.

The probe in the death of the 34-year-old actor has taken many twists and turns since the Mumbai police began investigating the case. The questioning of Rhea Chakraborty, her brother Showik Chakraborty and her father Indrajit Chakraborty is underway at the Enforcement Directorate office in Mumbai. Shruti Modi, Rhea’s former business manager is also being questioned by the agency.

Sushant’s family claims it’s murder

Meanwhile, Sushant’s father and his sister have recorded their statement with the CBI and claim that it’s a murder.

On 7 August, the CBI took over the Sushant death case on the request of the Bihar government after a central government notification. It has since collected all documents from the Bihar Police in connection with the case. The agency will also seek help from health experts to understand the autopsy report of the late actor, as well as to understand his mental health condition.

Earlier, a verbal duel erupted between the governments of Maharashtra and Bihar over the investigation initiated by the Bihar Police in the case.

WhatsApp messages reveal KK Singh attempted to reach out to son via Rhea

A new Whatsapp message from the late actor’s father to Rhea and manager Shruti Modi has now come to light. A message dated 29 November, 2019, has come to light allegedly indicating that Singh made an attempt to reach out to his son through the two ladies, now accused of ‘abetment to suicide’.

A message to Shruti indicates that Singh allegedly expressed his desire to come to Mumbai and asked for his tickets to be booked. Ab tum bat nahi kar rahi ho to main Mumbai jana chahta hun. Fli ka ticket bhek do, read a line in the message.

It must be noted, however, that the screenshots now made public do not reveal if the messages were acknowledged either by Rhea Chakraborty or Modi.

According to the channel, KK Singh, in his statement to the CBI has now alleged that the investigative agency should look into his son’s death as a case of a ‘murder’ and not an ‘abetment to suicide’.

This comes in just weeks after Singh filed an FIR with the Bihar Police, accusing Rhea Chakraborty, Indrajit Chakraborty, Sandhya Chakraborty, Showik Chakraborty, Samuel Miranda, Shruti Modi for ‘abetment to suicide’ among other charges.

The report also claims that the recent developments in the investigations, media reports, including circumstances where evidence was allegedly ‘destroyed’, lead the family to ask that the case be looked into as a murder.

Meanwhile, Rhea filed in an added plea in the Supreme Court seeking protection from an alleged “unfair media trial” against her in connection with the late actor’s death case.

The CBI had registered an FIR against the 6 people accused by the Singh family last week, after receiving the Centre’s nod to take over the matter. The ED has also registered a case in the matter and has since summoned all the accused and a few others to probe the financial aspects of the case.
