New Delhi: Spiritual Guru Sri Sri Ravi Shankar is going to unveil his vision for the restoration of peace and order at a conference titled ‘Kashmir: back to Paradise’ to be held in Jammu on 23 November.
Scheduled to be held at the Abhinav Theatre, Jammu, this conference is going to include among others stone pelters, former militants, victims of militants, youth leaders, women, entrepreneurs, academicians and select NGO’s from Kashmir. The idea is to provide a platform to all those sections of society which rarely get the chance to air their views. Together, they will share their views on the current situation and contemplate on a peaceful solution to the Kashmir problem.
Sri Sri Ravi Shankar will be the keynote speaker and Kiren Rijiju, Minister of State, Home Affairs, the Guest of Honour.
The spiritual guru, widely respected in India and abroad, has been working behind the scenes for the promotion of peace and order in Kashmir. He has been in touch with the Government of India, separatist leaders and also other stakeholders.
Muzaffar Wani, father of the slain militant leader Burhan Wani, had also met holy man at the latter’s ‘ashram’ in Bengaluru in September where the two had exchanged their views on the solution to the Kashmir problem.
Recently, the spiritual leader had also offered to rebuild all the schools that were burnt in the recent spate of violence by the separatists in Kashmir. More than 35 schools have been burnt by miscreants during the latest period of unrest in Kashmir.
