How significant is Priyanka in Baywatch?

Gurgaon: After years in the making, the new Baywatch movie starring Priyanka Chopra is finally about to hit the theatres.

The new sizzling hot trailer shows burning boats, sun-bathing surfers, muscle flexing Dwayne ‘the Rock’ Johnson, not so comedic Zac Efron and, of course, the Indian beauty Priyanka Chopra.

Priyanka appears only for a short while in the trailer. This has disappointed many fans who were left wondering if her role will be insignificant as compared to the other actors in the movie. But Dwayne Johnson quickly clarified this in a tweet on his official Twitter handle:

After Quantico, it seems that Priyanka’s character in Baywatch, Victoria Leeds, is set to be a major one. This comes from the rock’s tweet, too: “I luv India back! (U already know I luv U;). It’s aaaallll in the big picture plan. #Wait4VictoriaLeeds #Boss #Baywatch MEMORIAL DAY. (sic)”

Priyanka replied back, thanking the main actor saying, “lol…thank you DJ…trusted you from day one. India loves you and will love everything about Baywatch! #Wait4VictoriaLeeds.”

A trailer of the summer release has just released, but we will have to wait for more details about Leeds’ character, as more trailers will come soon. Baywatch is scheduled to release on May 26,next year.
