Sidhu romances Pakistan even after Pulwama attack

Navjot Singh Sidhu, who had taken part in Imran Khan's swearing-in ceremony as Pakistan Prime Minister, said, ‘Can you hold the entire country responsible for the act f a few?’

Chandigarh: Punjab’s minister Navjot Singh Sidhu on Friday asked whether the whole of Pakistan could be held responsible for the acts of some people while otherwise criticising Pakistani terrorist organization Jaish-e-Mohammed’s “cowardly” attack in Pulwama, Jammu.

In one of the deadliest terrorist attacks in Jammu and Kashmir, at least 40 CRPF personnel were martyred on Thursday. The suicide attacker of Pakistan based Jaish-e-Mohammed hit a bus of CRPF jawans in Pulwama district with a vehicle loaded with 100 kg of explosives.

Sidhu, who had taken part in Imran Khan’s swearing-in ceremony as Pakistan’s Prime Minister, said, “Can you hold the entire country responsible for the act f a few? Can you blame any person?”

After stopping the proceedings of the Punjab Assembly as a mark of solidarity with the death of CRPF jawans in the terrorist attack, Sidhu told reporters here, “It is a cowardly act and I strongly condemn it. Violence is always condemnable and those who did this must be punished.”
