Sushant Singh Rajput’s house manager Samuel Miranda has confessed to the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) about ‘procured drugs’ for the late actor’s house. However, there is still no information on for whom he has been procuring these drugs.
This follows NCB raids at the houses of Samuel Miranda and Showik Chakraborty, suspect Rhea’s brother.
Soon after the confession, the NCB arrested Showik Chakraborty and Samuel Miranda in connection with the ongoing ‘drug angle’ probe in the Sushant Singh Rajput death case. Showik had confessed that he had procured drugs on the instructions of his sister Rhea Chakraborty.
Moreover, Showik alleged that Rhea had asked him and Sushant’s ex-house manager Samuel Miranda to procure drugs, adding that he was in contact with several other drug peddlers, as per NCB sources. Showik and Miranda’s arrest are in addition to the arrests of three others — Basit Parihar, Kaizan Ibraham and Zaid.
The NCB had served a summons to Rhea Chakraborty’s brother Showik Chakraborty and Samuel Miranda for their alleged connection in the death case of Sushant Singh Rajput. Both the suspects were booked under the NDPS act after a raid session at their respective residence.
Initially, the NCB interrogated Showik and Samuel individually. Then they followed it with cross-questions. Sources say that so far Showik has denied the allegations. The NCB may interrogate him again on the involvement of Rhea Chakraborty in the alleged drug-link of the case.
Earlier, the investigating team had recovered WhatsApp chats exchanged between Rhea and Samuel where both talked about drugs. However, according to Rhea’s lawyer Satish Maneshinde’s official statement, the actress has never consumed drugs in her life and is ready for a blood test any time.
Towards the end of the previous month, Siddharth Pithani, Samuel Miranda and Dipesh Sawant had confessed before the CBI that they had deleted data from electronic devices at Rajput’s home. Their exercise of evidence tampering involved eight hard disks.
Pithani, Miranda and Sawant deleted data from laptops, computers and other devices around the time of Sushant’s former commercial manager Disha Salian’s equally mysterious death and Rhea Chakraborty leaving the place.
On 29 August, the day following the confession of the trio, Sushant’s talent manager Jaya Saha confessed before the Enforcement Directorate it was she who had suggested to Rhea Chakraborty that she could administer cannabidiol oil (CBD oil) to Sushant.
As the apologists of the Bollywood mafia said CBD oil was innocuous, the investigating agencies came to know of hotelier Gaurav Arya’s alleged supply of MDMA aka Ecstasy or Molly to Rhea Chakraborty.
