Salman refused to go to his own wedding despite all arrangements

However, there was a time when Salman almost got married, but cancelled the ceremony because of unknown reasons

Salman Khan was once one of the most eligible bachelors in B-town and while he has gotten married several times on-screen, in reality, the actor remains single.

However, there was a time when Salman almost got married, but cancelled the ceremony because of unknown reasons.

The Shadi kar Ke Phans Gaya Yaar actor revealed in a TV show that he was ‘very close’ to get married.

While no one knows why the superstar called off his own wedding, his close friend, Sajid Nadiadwala, revealed inside details about the marriage.

As Sajid says, Salman decided to get married on his father’s birthday in November, 1999. Sajid added that he had also decided the same date for Salman’s marriage. After all the cards were distributed, five or six days prior to the ceremony, Salman changed his mind and refused to get married.

“I am not in the mood,” Salman said, according to Sajid. Even the wedding invites had been sent out. But only a few days before the wedding, Salman called it off and said he was not in the mood for it anymore. Well… destiny is all we can say.

Earlier in an interview, Salman Khan had also revealed that Rekha was his neighbour and he was so mesmerised by her beauty that he used to attend her yoga classes just to catch a glimpse of her.

Rekha had also revealed on the reality show that when Salman was just seven-years old, he used to follow her on his bicycle during morning walks.

Of late, it is rumoured that the Dabangg actor is in a relationship with Iulia Vantur. However, there has been no confirmation from the actors.

Meanwhile, last week, Salman came out with a hard-hitting message in support of the coronavirus warriors, who are putting themselves at risk in order to protect the nation. He also spoke about people who are putting everyone’s life at jeopardy by going out during the lockdown.

The actor will soon be seen in Radhe: your most wanted bhai. Directed by Prabhu Deva, the project also stars Randeep Hooda, Disha Patani and Jackie Shroff.
