Sachin Vaze entered hotel with mystery woman, carried five bags

The hotel room was reportedly booked for Sachin Vaze by a businessman for 100 days and he had paid around Rs 13 lakhs for the same through a travel agent

The National Investigation Agency (NIA) officials investigating the Ambani terror threat case are trying to find out details of the woman seen entering the five-star hotel in South Mumbai behind Sachin Vaze during his stay there from 16 to 20 February.

Sachin Vaze had checked in at a posh hotel in Mumbai a day before Mansukh Hiren’s Scorpio went missing. He had used a fake card at the hotel and upon further investigation, the NIA found that he was accompanied by an unidentified woman during his stay.

The woman, sources said that is suspected to be amongst those who were questioned by Sachin Vaze in another case being investigated by him while at the Crime Unit.

The NIA has questioned Sachin Vaze regarding the identity of the woman but he is reportedly not cooperating with the probe agency. NIA sources said, he refused to divulge details on the identity of the woman and his relation with her.

The woman could be summoned by the NIA in the coming days.

Meanwhile, the hotel staff have also been questioned by the NIA. Officials are trying to find out details about each and every person who met Sachin Vaze during his five-day stay at the hotel.

Sachin Vaze is being grilled on the content of the five bags he carried with him while entering the hotel during his stay between 16 February and 20 February.

In the CCTV footage from the hotel, Sachin Vaze can be seen entering with five black bags. The bags were scanned at the checking kiosk and so the contents of the bag would have been seen by the kiosk assistant.

NIA officials have questioned a few employees of the hotel but few others are yet to be questioned. The employees will be questioned regarding the content of the bags.

The bags are yet to be traced.

The hotel room was reportedly booked for Sachin Vaze by a businessman for 100 days and he had paid around Rs 13 lakhs for the same through a travel agent.

The former Mumbai Police officer checked-in to the hotel using a fake ID.

In the fake Aadhaar, Sachin Vaze has identified his name as Sushant Sadashiv Khamkar. He has also mentioned his date of birth as 15 June 1972, whereas his original date of birth is 22 February 1972. However, he has used his original photograph in the fake ID.

It is still not clear why Vaze used a fake ID and stayed at a hotel and who all he met during his stay.
