If you have not seen the film RRR yet and are waiting for its release on OTT, your wait is going to be a little longer. The film’s OTT rights have already been sold out and before the film reaches one of the platforms, it intends to touch the worldwide collection figure of thousand crores in the second week itself.

Going by the success of the film, its producers and distributors now want to keep it in theatres for a few more weeks, which has pushed the release date of the film on OTT.

Netflix as well as 5 have bought the OTT rights of the film RRR. Producer DVV Danayya has joined hands with Hindi cinema distribution giant Jayantilal Gada who has a good reputation in the banking sector of the country. His association with the film as a co-producer has got the banks interested in doing business with the film. His last film Gangubai Kathiawadi was funded by two big banks in the country.

RRR has been released in Hindi by Gada’s film distribution company Pen Marudhar Entertainment. The film has already crossed the Rs 200 crore mark in the Hindi heartland. The net earning of the film has also reached close to Rs 200 crore.

Gada organised a grand party in Sahara Star Hotel in Mumbai today. All the lead actors of the film as well as Hindi cinema stalwarts are attending the show.

RRR was to be released on OTT eight weeks after its release in theatres, which is how it works for all mega-budget films. However, some films have been released on OTT after a mere four weeks. RRR will take about 10 weeks after the release of the film to reach OTT has come to the fore today.

The Hindi version of RRR will be uploaded on Netflix and 5 while the audience worldwide can catch it in various Indian and foreign languages. Both the OTT platforms have made full preparations for the promotion of their release date, but the schedule was postponed at the insistence of the filmmakers to the first Friday of June.
