Mumbai: Jahnvi Kapoor makes her Bollywood debut on Friday with the release of Dhadak. Ahead of the film’s release a special screening was hosted in Mumbai, Close friends and family of the Dhadak team were spotted. Ishaan’s brother Shahid Kapoor with wife Mira and Janhvi’s brother Arjun Kapoor along with other stars like Madhuri Dixit, Rekha and Sonakshi Sinha attended the show and blessed the newcomers.

There was Ishaan’s parents Neelima Azeem and Rajesh Khatter, His half brother actor Shahid Kapoor and his wife Mira Rajput, besides Kunal Kemmu and Soha Ali Khan, along with Malaika Arora, Karishma Kapoor, Neha Dhupia, Angad Bedi.

Singer Neha Kakkar, Dino Morea, David Dhawan, Sonakshi Sinha were also seen attending the screening of the film.

while Janhvi’s family members can’t stop gushing over her acting skills, not many people are aware that her own mother Sridevi was not too convinced about her entering Bollywood.

In an interview, when Jhanvi was asked about Sridevi’s reaction on her decision to become an actor, she said, “There were a lot of sounds. There was a lot of Aiyyo!, but I think she knew that the bug had bitten this poor girl.”

She further added, “When I was a kid, she really wanted me to become a doctor. I don’t know why, and I was like, ‘I am sorry mom, but I don’t have the intellect to become a doctor.’”

Dhadak is musical romantic drama film directed by Shashank Khaitan, produced by Dharma Productions and Zee Studios and stars Janhvi Kapoor and Ishaan Khatter and Ashutosh Rana in lead roles. The film is a remake of the 2016 Marathi language film Sairat.

The film was announced when the producer of the film, Karan Johar unveiled three posters of the movie on 15 November 2017. He released another poster on the next day. The principal photography started on 1 December 2017 in Udaipur. The trailer was released on 11 June 2018.

Produced by Dharma Productions and Zee Studios the film has created quite a buzz.
