Mumbai: Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone made up for a good pair when they were dating each other back in the year 2008. Well, the two would still look good together, but as the destiny has it, they parted ways and have moved on. But their breakup hasn’t affected their camaraderie, as Ranbir and Deepika are still very good friends.

After their separation, that the two delivered a hit together with Ayan Mukejri’s Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani and as mentioned that they are good buddies, the duo does not shy away from speaking about each other in public.

Deepika Padukone is on a sabbatical from work since the release of Padmaavat. The actor reasoned in an interview with a magazine that it is important to replenish emotionally and take a break for her career in the long run.

In a recent interview, Deepika opened up about her life, her relationship and why she took a break from Bollywood. Deepika said, “Irrespective of whether it’s the unanimous opinion. That s what Ranbir Kapoor says. He s the first person who had the guts to tell me that to my face.”

“My mother feels not. I wouldn’t say impulsively. But I am extremely emotional. I’m fully ruled by my heart. I couldn’t be happier with where I am in my life, professionally or personally. I’m not missing anything,” Deepika added.

“Because I feel like – and I like the word you used, brave – there always seems to be this pressure on women, especially in film, to do everything now, make hay while the sun shines…” Deepika further said, “And I think, somewhere, I got fed up with people telling me that. I don’t look at my career like that.”

Earlier, Ranbir had said during the promotions of their film, Tamasha that Deepika is a flirt. He had told the daily, ”I don’t like the fact that Deepika is a flirt. That she is working too much and should not burn herself out. She should take more holidays and breaks and should reserve herself, which she has started doing now.”

Deepika is happy as she is reportedly all set to take the plunge with her longtime boyrfriend and co-star Ranveer Singh. Rumour mills are abuzz about the two will exchange wedding vows at Lake Como in Italy. The guest list is constrained only to 30 people, who aren’t allowed to carry their cell phones at the venue. Besides that, few reports also suggests that the duo will have a Sindhi wedding and a puja will take place at Deepika’s house in Bengaluru, ten days prior to their special day.
