Terrorist links of Tablighi Jamaat include Masood Azhar, Osama bin Laden

Maulana Masood Azhar, the founder of the terrorist group Harkat ul Mujahideen which underwent several name changes to finally become Jaish-e-Mohammed, is not only a member of the Tablighi Jamaat but also a once close associate of Osama bin Laden

Years ago, actor Raghubir Yadav had found sympathies from many a tortured husband when he related to the media what a hellish life he was leading with his wife Purnima. The actor who had debuted in a critically acclaimed film Massey Saahab had got married in 1988 and divorced in 1996. Twenty-four years on, Purnima says it was all his mistake.

Raghubir Yadav is in news again for his personal affairs as his ex-wife Purnima has filed a petition in a court. Speaking to the website Spot Boy, she said she had demanded Rs 10 crore maintenance allowance and alimony of Rs 1 lakh per month in the court.

“Raghubir was directed to pay alimony of Rs 20,000 per month, which was later brought down to Rs 10,000. Till date, he had not paid a single paisa to Purnima. There are arrears of Rs 4.5 lakh,” Purnima’s lawyer of the time Sumangal Biradar had said in 2010.

This was after Raghubir languished in jail for two days, arrested in connection with the previous alimony case his divorced wife had lodged. He could pay just half of the arrears.

When asked further about this, Purnima said, “Raghubir is living with Sanjay Mishra’s wife Roshni Acharya. He had himself admitted in court that both of them have a 14-year-old son.”

Things started going wrong after seven years of their marriage, Purnima said. Raghubir fell in love with Nandita Das. After this, Raghubir took Nandita to his parents in Jabalpur and applied for divorce. Obviously both wanted to get married, Purnima recalled.

Asked why the two did not marry, Purnima said, “Nandita left Raghubir because she fell in love with someone else. Besides, many people started telling Nandita that she would not be able to settle down with Raghubir as this relationship would not be successful.”

Purnima said that, in the meantime, all her attention was on raising their son. After some time, Raghubir started living in Goregaon. “Film actor Sanjay Mishra lived in the same apartment. He used to invite Sanjay for lunch or dinner. Raghubir started frequenting Sanjay’s flat and he became friends with Sanjay’s wife Roshni.”

After this, Purnima alleged, Roshni became pregnant and told Sanjay that she wanted to divorce him.

Nandita Das has not responded to Purnima’s allegations. Raghubir Yadav has not reacted either. However, he never hid the fact that he had been in a live-in relationship with Roshni. In fact, Roshni and he had said it in a joint interview to a newspaper years ago.

In that interview, both Raghubir and Roshni had alleged they used to be abused by their respective former spouses and that they were still threatened and harassed.
