Indian National Congress (INC) national general secretary Priyanka Gandhi-Vadra’s personal secretary Sandeep Singh, along with two senior state party politicians, Shiv Pandey and Yogesh Kumar Dixit, have been booked for assault and snooping on a house at 7 Mall Avenue.
The FIR was lodged at the Hussainganj police station on a complaint by a driver with the estate department of Uttar Pradesh government on 18 November.
The complainant, Prashant Singh, said, INC leaders Singh, Shiv Pandey and Yogesh Kumar Dixit were spying on his house at Mall Avenue around midnight on 17 November.
“I saw them moving suspiciously in my house and when I objected, the trio abused and thrashed me,” he alleged.

The police have stated that further investigation is underway in the case.
Prashant Kumar is a driver working in the estate department of the Uttar Pradesh government, as per reports. He is currently posted as a driver for a minister.
The complainant has said that Sandeep Singh looked drunk at the time of the incident. When the complainant confronted the INC leaders asking why are they lurking around his house, Sandeep Singh and others started abusing him and threatening to have him arrested.
Prashant Kumar stated that when he tried to call the police, the suspect snatched away his mobile phone and threw it away. As the commotion got louder, other members of Prashant’s family came out and then the accused ran away.
