New Delhi: In a written reply to MP Supriya Sule and others in the Lok Sabha today, Minister of State for Defence Subhash Bhamre shared with Parliament the details of ceasefire violations during the last 3 years and the current year.

In addition, other benefits such as liberalised family pension, death-cum-retirement-gratuity, etc. are granted as per the extant rules.
The ex gratia compensation is paid to civilians or security forces personnel killed as per the extant guidelines of the Central Armed Police Forces or the State government.
The preventive steps taken by the Government are as under.
- All the forward posts are adequately strengthened to withstand enemy fire. Besides, there are well-established Standard Operating procedures (SOPs) to safeguard against enemy fire to minimise casualties on this side.
- Indian Army carries out appropriate retaliation to the ceasefire violations, as required. In addition, all violations of ceasefire are taken up with Pakistan authorities at the appropriate level through the established mechanism of hotlines, flag meetings as well as weekly talks between the Directorate Generals of Military Operations of the two countries.
There have been no armed intrusions by the enemy across the Line of Control in the State of Jammu & Kashmir in recent past. The details of terrorist-initiated incidents against the Army are as under.
