Yesterday, over 5,000 admissions took place and today, too, as many students visited the varsity for completing admission formalities, the officials added.
They said around 7,000 candidates have submitted their documents, but are yet to pay the fees.
Several well-known DU colleges, including the Lady Shri Ram College (LSR), Shri Ram College of Commerce (SRCC) and Hindu, did not announce their second cut-off list which was announced on 24 June for several courses on as their seats were filled post the announcement of the first cut-off list on 19 June.
The LSR has closed admissions for BA (Hons.) Economics, BA (Hons.) Political Science, BA (Hons.) History, BA (Hons.) Psychology, BA (Hons.) Sociology and B.Com (Hons.). The girls’ college had announced a cut-off of 98.75% for the BA programme in the first list which came down to 97.75% in the second.
In Kirori Mal College (KMC), admissions have been closed for BA (Honours) Urdu, BA (Honours) Sanskrit, and B.Sc. (Physical Sciences) with computer science optional for general category candidates.
SRCC has closed admissions for Scheduled Castes candidates for its BA (Honours) Economics. However, the cut-off for general category candidates for BCom (Hons) was 97.75% in the first list, while in the second cut-off, it is 97.37%. The minimum score required for admission in BA (Honours) Economics was 98.50% for the general category in the first cut-off. In the second cut-off, it was 98.25% for general candidates.
Gargi College and Hindu College have also closed admissions for general category candidates in BA (Honours) History, BA (Honours) Political Science and BA programme.
Miranda House has closed admissions for general category candidates in BA (Honours) Geography, BA (Honours) Political Science and BA (Honours) Philosophy.
Ramjas College has closed admissions for general candidates in BA (Honours) Hindi, BA programme, and B.Com.
The varsity threw open its admission portal for aspirants of various undergraduate courses on 15 May. The registration for these courses ended on 7 June. Registrations were made for the merit-based course and rest for the entrance-based ones.
The total number of male applicants are 1,44,248, women 1,34,297 and other applicants 29. According to an official from the university, 2,78,544 aspirants have made payments.
Last year, around 2.20 lakh candidates had made payments.
