New Delhi: A customer of a bank, Amit Kumar Gupta, narrated the incident of last night: “I was standing before the Chhattarpur ATM for cash withdrawal since 9:00 PM. In the line, I was behind about 70-80 people. It was moving very slow.”

Gupta continued, “Suddenly as the clock struck 10, about 50-60 people left the queue and I was left just third from the ATM with 7 people behind me.”

“When asked why they left the queue, a person said, ‘Dus baje tak k hi paise mile hai (We have been paid to stand here only till 10).”

Gupta says that he inquired with a journalist friend and found that the media man already knew about it. Gupta further says the friend told him that media ran on black money; “so no one will report it”.

This is an edited version of Amit Kumar Gupta’s Facebook post.

The message has gone viral on WhatsApp, too, where the narrator is not mentioned. सिर्फ़ News does not vouch for the authenticity of the allegation. But we will soon get the version of the opposition from our sources in those parties.
