NCB raids house of Shah Rukh Khan for drug evidence

The NCB reached actor Shah Rukh Khan's house Mannat hours after he visited son Aryan Khan at the jail and raided Ananya Panday's house too

Multiple teams of the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) have reached Shah Rukh Khan’s Bandra house Mannat and the house of actor Ananya Panday, the daughter of Chunky Panday.

NCB teams on 21 October carried out raids in the Andheri area of Mumbai, acting on a lead from one of the accused in the Mumbai cruise drugs bust case.

An NCB team reached Ananya Panday and Chunky Panday’s residence at Khar West, Mumbai, on Thursday. Ananya Panday has been summoned by the NCB at 2 pm. The NCB team has also taken away Ananya Panday’s phone.

Ananya Panday has worked in many Hindi films. Ananya Panday made her debut in the 2019 film of the Year 2.

An NCB team reached Shah Rukh Khan’s residence ‘Mannat’ hours after he visited his son Aryan Khan at the Arthur Road jail on 21 October. Aryan Khan is among those who have been in the Mumbai cruise drugs bust case.

The NCB seized some phones, laptops and electronic devices from Ananya’s residence.

NCB searched four places in Mumbai yesterday and today, one of which is Ananya Panday’s house. The agency has seized some items from there too. Meanwhile, a search is underway at the houses of some peddlers and their relatives.

On 20 October, a Mumbai special court had rejected his bail application. Aryan Khan and eight others were detained on 3 October and later after NCB raided the Cordelia cruise ship off the Mumbai coast.

Later, Aryan Khan moved the Bombay High Court to seek bail. The high court has said it would hear the bail plea on 26 October. Aryan Khan‘s advocate Satish Maneshinde mentioned the plea before a single bench of Justice N W Sambre, seeking an urgent hearing on 22 October.

Additional Solicitor Anil Singh, appearing for the NCB, however, sought time till next week. Justice Sambre then posted the plea for a hearing on 26 October.

On that day, the HC will hear the bail plea filed by co-accused Munmun Dhamecha.
