Namaste England: Arjun, Parineeti seek blessings at Golden Temple

Amritsar: After wrapping up Sandeep Aur Pinky Faraar, Arjun Kapoor and Parineeti Chopra on Thursday offered prayers at the Golden Temple along with director Vipul Amrutlal Shah before kick-starting the Amritsar schedule of their upcoming movie ‘Namastey England‘.

The film went on floors with a photo of Parineeti, Arjun and Vipul posing together against the backdrop of Golden Temple in Amritsar. Parineeti and Arjun play Punjabi characters in the film and they will shoot extensively in Amritsar followed by Ludhiana and Patiala.
After completing the shoot in Punjab, the movie will be shot across Dhaka, Paris, Brussels and will finally culminate in London.
Parineeti wore a kurta with salwar and dupatta while Arjun was dressed in a chikankaari kurta and denim. Apparently, it was Arjun Kapoor’s idea to visit the Golden Temple before the shoot started.

Namastey Canada is Parineeti Chopra and Arjun Kapoor’s third film together after Ishaqzaade (Arjun’s debut film) and their work-in-progress project Sandeep Aur Pinky Faraar.

Ishaqzaade was a 2012 Indian romantic thriller film written and directed by Habib Faisal, and produced by Aditya Chopra under Yash Raj Films starring debutant Arjun Kapoor and Parineeti Chopra in their first lead film.

Chopra made her acting debut with an acclaimed performance in the 2011 romantic comedy Ladies vs Ricky Bahl, winning the Filmfare Award for Best Female Debut and a Best Supporting Actress nomination. She followed it by garnering widespread critical acclaim for her starring roles in the box office hits— Ishaqzaade (2012), which won her the National Film Award.

The lead pair is all set to play Punjabi characters in the film and there would be no better start than seeking blessings at Golden Temple, Amritsar.

NAMASTE ENGLAND! Cant control my excitement @arjunk26 @SanjanaBatra @artinayar #AshniShah, Parineeti tweeted.

Shah, who began with Amritsar schedule on Thursday, earlier said that this is the perfect time to be in Punjab as the weather is neither too hot nor too cold and the crops will make for stunning visuals.
