Foreigners who attended Tablighi Jamaat at Nizamuddin Markaz to be tried for violating visa rule

Sirf News has accessed from the police the records of many Tablighi Jamaat associates who have returned to or been to the Northeast and non-Muslims who passed through the area and returned to the states of the region

Tablighi Jamaat can’t explain mischief of members after leaving Delhi

While describing the 'difficulty' it faced to transport people out of Delhi, Tablighi Jamaat fails to explain why its associates and affiliates either mingled with people in their respective villages and why many of them just vanished in thin air

Barely three days after a similar incident in Lohardaga of Jharkhand where Muslims attacked a procession held to show support to the amended citizenship law, West Bengal Police on Sunday stopped Hindu activists led by the state unit of the BJP from worshipping Bharat Mata after 25 motorcycle-riding Muslims from a ghetto attacked one of the venues of the event at Himnagar in Dankuni while the organisers of the programme repulsed the attack.

Trouble started brewing in the morning with some Muslims beating up a few Hindus on Delhi Road after an owner of a showroom of tyres hoisted the national flag. The Muslim group first approached the shopkeeper and objected to the flag hoisting. They said he had not sought “permission” to raise the tricolour.

When the Muslims thrashed the shopkeeper, the event the BJP had organised days in advance heightened the tension in the area around afternoon. Thereafter, policemen clashed with BJP youth wing activists in Howrah on the Republic Day.

The BJP has accused the police of pandering to one community and creating a deadlock on an event of another which was announced well in advance. The party had announced its plan to worship Bharat Mata in front of every police station on the occasion of Republic Day.

Police dragging Hindu activists away

The party says it had sent letters to all police stations, seeking the necessary permission. However, instead of cooperating, some BJP workers said, the police tried to stop the event at the behest of Muslims.

BJP leaders say that the police had warned the statue maker not to supply Bharat Mata statues to the party. The chairman of district BJYM Om Prakash Singh said, “This is the undemocratic face of Bengal police.” He did not name any community.

In the state capital Kolkata on the eve of Republic Day, Governor Jagdeep Dhankhar once again targeted the Mamata Banerjee government and termed the violent incidents in Bengal in the last few years as worrying. In his message, the governor accused the Trinamool Congress (TMC) government of spending people’s money for political purposes.

Referring to the relations between the union and the state, the governor said that disputes and issues would not be resolved in an atmosphere of confrontation. Dhankhar said, “Our constitution has a resolution for every issue or dispute between the union and the states. A faceoff is not a resolution. Coordination is necessary and we should work in this direction.”

The governor said, “Violence is against democracy. There should be an effort to end it in 2020 so that Bengal is known for its peaceful environment. The violent incidents that have taken place in the last few years are worrisome. Violence in the temple of education also There is no place for. It must be ensured.”
