Mika Singh’s manager Saumya Khan died of drug overdose?

Bollywood playback singer Mika Singh’s manager Soumya Khan died today under mysterious circumstances. According to reports, Saumya killed herself by taking too many sleeping pills. A police officer said Saumya was suffering from depression and died of a drug overdose.

Mika Singh expressed his condolences by posting the information on his Instagram account.

Sharing a picture of Saumya, Mika Singh wrote in his post, “Waheguru ji ka Khalsa Waheguru ji ki fateh. Very sad to announce that our dear @saumya.samy has left us for heavenly abode, leaving behind with us her beautiful memories she left this world at a very young age. May God bless her soul. Rest in peace! My heartfelt condolences to her family and her husband @official_zohebkhan.”

Saumya’s body has been handed over to her family for the last rites. She will be cremated in Punjab as per Sikh rites.

Senior Inspector Raghavendra Thakur of Versova Police Station said, “The incident took place on 2 February. We do not see any bungling in this case and we have registered a case of accidental death.”

Inspector P Bhonsle of Versova police station said, “She was in depression. She lost her life due to a drug overdose.”

A report suggested that Saumya had attended a party that night after which she did not go home. When some workers looked for her, they found her body.

She had returned to the studio from an overnight party at around 7 AM that day. After she did not come out till late in the evening, some workers who were on the ground floor of the studio went upstairs and found her body at around 10:15 PM. They immediately rushed her to hospital where she was declared dead on 3 February.

Bhonsle said, “She was taken to a hospital where she was declared dead.”

Although the police are calling it a suicide, the needle of suspicion is turning towards them as the body was found in Mika Singh’s studio.
