Entertainment Kangana Ranaut 'was drugged by a character actor' while struggling

Film actress Kangana Ranaut, who has been issuing a sensational statement with every development in the case of Sushant Singh Rajput’s mysterious death, has now reacted to the allegation that Rhea was drugging Sushant too. Speaking about the alleged Bollywood drug nexus, she is now claiming she had experienced it too — at the hands of a man she referred to as a ‘character actor’.

Kangana said this person had entered her life as a “self-appointed mentor” while she was trying to enter the film industry and later assumed the role of a “self-appointed husband”.

While the whole of Bollywood knows this person was Aditya Panscholi, the father of Sooraj Pancholi who was accused in the death of budding actress Jiah Khan, Kangana did not mention the name during the interview with Republic TV. Kangana lived in a house of Panscholi’s friend for nearly three of her formative years.

We were as good as husband and wife. I was actually building a house for both of us on Yari Road. We lived together for three years at a friends` place. I used to show her a lot of movies. I was building a home for the two of us. Even the phone she was using was mine.

In her interviews until 2017, Kangana talked about how her ex would beat her up and harass her, but she never mentioned his name. In September 2017, however, she confirmed that the man she used to talk about was Aditya Panscholi.

It was a very difficult and very harsh time. I was physically abused. I don’t have to go to details. I felt trapped. You feel people might help you. But there are no free lunches. But when you are going you fall for it. This man who was my father’s age hit me hard on my head when I was 17. I started bleeding. I took out my sandal and hit him head hard and he started to bleed too. I lodged an FIR against the man.

Talking about her relationship with Panscholi, Kangana had once said the above

Sooraj is suspected to have played a role in Sushant’s death. The two had had open tiffs and spars in full public glare in a birthday party of Salman Khan in 2017 and again months before the death of the actor from Bihar.

Sirf News exposed the money trail of Salman Khan’s associates that trace to a Dubai-based cartel of money-launderers who had occupied news headlines a few years ago in a case involving the owner of Ryan International School.

The actress said she left Manali when she was all of 16 and won a competition in Chandigarh. The agency then sent her to Mumbai.

After her initial days in a hostel, she started to live with an “aunty” in the city. It was during this period that this “character actor” befriended her, she said. He promised to help her with finding work in Bollywood, she claimed today.

This man impressed the woman she was living with and soon become her “self-appointed mentor”, and the three started living together.

However, things changed after a while, Kangana said. She was quoted as saying, “He fought with the aunty and asked her to leave. But he kept my belongings in the home and locked me. And whatever I would do, his staff would straightaway give updates to him. It felt almost like a house arrest.”

“He took me to parties and once I felt an intoxication, that led to intimacy between us. Then I realised that it was not done willingly, but my drink had been spiked. And after that incident, within a week, he became my self-appointed husband. And if I tell him, ‘you are not my boyfriend’, he’d charge at me with slippers to hit me,” Kangana went on.

The actress from the hills, who wears her small-town background on her sleeve, recounted how this person would take her to meetings with people from Dubai. She said he used to make her sit amid elderly men and leave the meeting. They would take her number. “I started fearing that they would supply me (sic) to Dubai.”

Kangana mentioned this self-appointed mentor was shocked when she got her first break in films. Kangana’s first film was Mahesh Bhatt and Mukesh Bhatt’s production Gangster in 2006. She mentioned how her career break upset her ‘mentor’. “When I got the break, he was agitated. He started telling me after drinking that he never expected that I will get a break so soon. After that, he started sedating me with injections so that I am not able to go to shoots. I told my director Anurag Basu about it. If he would hit me and I’d have bruises, Anurag would make me stay at his office for many nights, to protect me,” Kangana said.

The actress said on television it was likely that Sushant was administered drugs either to cause his mental collapse or to create a “controversy” in the event where people suspect he was murdered, as an addict wouldn’t be taken seriously. Kangana said that Sushant did not come from a family that would consume hard drugs like LSD. She claimed Rhea might have arranged marijuana, legal in some countries, from abroad for Sushant.

As per the confirmed reports, however, Rhea administered CBD oil (cannabidiol oil) and MDMA (methylenedioxymethamphetamine) aka Ecstasy or Molly to Sushant.

After more than two months following the death of Sushant, a new drug angle surfaced in the case, thanks to the WhatsApp chat of Rhea with her drug suppliers leaking to the media. The Narcotics Control Bureau has begun probing the drug angle.

Previously, after a Supreme Court verdict, the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) began investigating the death case. The agency interrogated Rhea for the second consecutive day on 29 August.

In a different investigation, the Enforcement Directorate is looking for a possible financial irregularity angle, as Rhea is suspected to have swindled off Sushant’s money to a money-laundering cartel that operates out of Dubai.
