Mumbai: In 2014, Salman Khan and Jacqueline Fernandez came together for the first time and gave blockbuster Kick. There was a lot of speculation as to who would be cast opposite Salman in Kick 2, with reports of Deepika Padukone being considered for the role. But recently, Sajid Nadiadwala put all rumours to rest and reportedly confirmed that Jacqueline Fernandez will be a part of Kick 2.
Sajid Nadiadwala has just confirmed that it is a plain rumour since the script he is writing has Jacqueline’s character in it. Sajid said, “Once I finish penning the script, I’ll be completely sure. But at present, she’s there in what I’m writing. But it’s too early to talk about it.” As the producer was busy with different films, the writing took some time. He is planning to restart the writing process and the film should roll out next year.
Speaking about Jacqueline Fernandez, Sajid Nadiadwala simply said that Salman Khan was joking when he said that Jacqueline would be replaced.

Sajid said We should be ready to roll the movie next year after Salman finishes all his current films. It may be recalled that Jacqueline’s career took a kick-start after Kick. Well, we’re super excited to watch her pair with Salman once again.
In 2009, Fernandez travelled to India for a modelling assignment. She studied acting under the mentorship of theatre director Barry John, and successfully auditioned for Sujoy Ghosh’s fantasy film Aladin (2009) her acting debut. She played the love interest of Riteish Deshmukh’s character, a role based on the character of Princess Jasmine.
Fernandez began 2016 with a role in the sequel to Housefull 2. The comedy film paired her with Akshay Kumar as her love interest. She is also filming and set to star in Tarun Mansukhani’s next, Drive opposite Sushant Singh Rajput. In addition, she is working alongside Salman Khan in Race 3, the third addition to the Race Franchise.
Film Kick 2 is expected to release during Christmas 2019.
