Disputes, if any, subject to jurisdiction in New Delhi

This incident occurred in the first week of July, but the video has just reached us. Here is a group of Israeli activists who took to the streets to vent their anger against Arabs.

Since the bodies of three missing Israeli youths were discovered in the occupied West Bank on 30 June, Israeli politicians have whipped the public up with demands for “revenge.”

The video shows footage of a crowd of young Israelis marching through the streets of Jerusalem in the evening of 1 July chanting, “Death to the Arabs” — “mavet la’aravim” in Hebrew.

The spontaneous rally happened near Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s residence on downtown Hatulot Square, en route East Jerusalem. They did not dare enter East Jerusalem as the police used a stun grenade against them, which made them beat a hasty retreat.

Police forces managed to rescue 8 Arabs from the mob and arrested 47 on charges of public disorder, attempted assault of Arab minors, assaulting police officers, and property damage. The protesting mob posed a threat to an Arab citizen as police officers struggled to separate and protect an innocent life from the enraged rightwing extremists.

At the Israeli youths’ funeral on 1 July evening, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu contrasted Israelis from those who killed the youths. “They sanctify death, we sanctify life,” Netanyahu said. “They sanctify cruelty, and we mercy and compassion.”
