A Muslim mob in Bangladesh has once again attacked a Hindu place of worship and devotees gathered there. The mob attacked Iskcon Radhakanta temple located in Dhaka, the capital of Bangladesh, last evening. The mob ransacked the temple and also looted the valuables. Several Hindus were injured in the attack.
The mob of more than 200 Muslims led by Haji Saifullah attacked the Iskcon Radhakanta temple on 222 Lal Mohan Saha Street in Wari, Dhaka, at 7 PM. Some of the Hindus who sustained injuries in the attack are Sumantra Chandra Shravan, Nihar Haldar and Rajiv Bhadra.

This is not the first time that a Hindu temple has been attacked in Bangladesh. Last year, Muslim mobs had attacked Durga Puja pandals after a rumour spread against Hindus that some member of the minority community had desecrated a copy of the Qur’an. Muslims attacked houses of Hindus as well and damaged another Iskcon temple located in Dhaka.
According to AKS, an organisation working to establish minority rights in Bangladesh, in the last 9 years, Muslim mobs attacked Hindus in Bangladesh 3,679 times. There were 1,678 cases of sabotage and armed attacks in Hindu temples, shrines and ashrams. The NGO says there were frequent Muslim attacks targeting the Hindu community, including vandalism and arson in houses.
