IPL 2018: KKR will try to apply brakes on SRH’s victory march

SRH dropped as many as three catches on Thursday night, and luckily none of them cost them much

Kolkata: Sunrisers Hyderabad will look to retain their position at the top of the VIVO 2018 standings when they take on the Kolkata Knight Riders in Match 10 today at the Eden Gardens here.

SRH, who are visiting KKR, emerged victorious In both their matches this season. They opened their account with a convincing win over the Rajasthan Royals and followed it up with a thrilling last-ball win against the Mumbai Indians on Thursday night.

SRH dropped as many as three catches on Thursday night, and luckily none of them cost them much, but they would be aware that it won’t pan out the same way every time.

Shikhar Dhawan’s exploits at the top of the order have given the team two excellent starts so far in the tournament. SRH have five quality bowling options, and even the absence of Bhuvneshwar Kumar in the previous match was not felt much.

While Kaul has impressed with pace and execution, Rashid Khan continues to bamboozle the best with his quick-arm action.

The Kolkata Knight Riders have one win and one loss so far this season; after a convincing performance over Royal Challengers Bangalore in their season opener, KKR let slip from their clutches their match against the Chennai Super Kings.

While  is yet to settle into his new role, Williamson has got off to a great start with a 100% win record.

The performance of Sunil Narine, the batsman has pushed to the background the performance of Narine the bowler.

Manish Pandey, Yusuf Pathan and Shakib al Hasan have been an integral part of the Kolkata Knight Riders in the last few seasons. Sunil Narine needs 3 more wickets to reach the 100 wickets milestone.

KKR have Chris Lynn and Narine, two power hitters up top capable enough of giving the team start as good as any. With Uthappa coming in at number three, Nitish Rana and walk in at four and five respectively, providing the team stability in the middle.
