New Delhi: Apple iPhone XR is supposed to go on sale on 26 October, and it looks like the company is ramping up production for the LCD variant, due to higher demand. A report says Apple iPhone XR production will be bumped up to 20 million units in October.

According to the report, the expectation is that the iPhone XR will drive the demand in 2019 as well. It looks like iPhone XR orders have been revised upward to over 50% recently, according to the supply chain sources. It also looks like the demand in China will continue for iPhone XR thanks to the dual-SIM feature, despite the higher than expected pricing, notes the report.

Apple announced its three new iPhone models last week, and now pre-orders have effectively begun for the two flagships in India. Apart from 5,000+ retail outlets, the iPhone XS and iPhone XS Max are up for pre-orders on Flipkart. Even the Airtel Online Store has the two premium variants phones up for pre-order, as does the official Jio online store. Flipkart has listed exchange offers and cash back from banks as part of the pre-order offers, and Airtel has also listed cashback offers. The new iPhone models price in India starts at Rs. 99,900.

Flipkart has all the storage variants of the iPhone XS and iPhone XS Max up for pre-order. The iPhone XS price in India starts at Rs. 99,900 for the 64 GB variant and goes up to Rs. 1,14,900 and Rs. 1,34,900 for the 256 GB and 512 GB variants, respectively. Likewise, buyers will have to shell out Rs. 1,09,900, Rs. 1,24,900, and Rs. 1,44,900 for the 64 GB, 256 GB, and 512 GB storage options of the iPhone XS Max, respectively. Flipkart has listed an exchange offer of up to Rs. 13,500 on all iPhone models. Furthermore, there’s a 5% off if you pre-order the phone using an HDFC Bank credit card, RBL Bank credit card, or the Axis Bank Buzz credit card. EMI options start from Rs. 4,149 per month.

Airtel Online Store, as promised, is also taking pre-orders for the iPhone XS and iPhone XS Max. It is offering 5% cashback on Axis Bank and Citi Bank credit cards, only for users who avail 12 and 24 months EMI option. Users can also avail 5X reward points on all non-EMI transactions. Airtel also has the option to pick up the phone on the day of launch from a nearby Store after 28 September at 6.00 PM IST. Alternatively, it will also ship it to your delivery address if you’re not in a hurry.

Jio is also taking pre-orders for the new iPhones from 21 September to 27 September via its official website. Buyers can only pre-order one iPhone XS or iPhone XS Max unit per transaction and need to make the payment for the handset in full while booking, and cash on delivery option is not being provided. The unit will be shipped in 3-5 business days after the new models hit the shelves in India, i.e. 28 September. All three storage variants – 64GB, 256GB, and 512GB – in Silver, Gold, and Space Gray colours are available for pre-bookings on the Jio site.
