New Delhi — Paraplegic athlete Deepa Malik has been selected under Target Olympic Podium (TOP) Scheme for financial assistance from National Sports Development Fund (NSDF) for training as part of preparation for Para Olympic Games 2016 and a budget of Rs 30 Lakh has been allocated to her from NSDF for training from July 2015 till Para Olympic Games 2016.
The competent authority has approval financial assistance for three-and-a-half months training from 1 July to 15 October of this year as per the details given below:

The authority has also approved release of advance to the tune of 90% of the approved amount of coaching fee (Rs 94,500.00) and other training expenses (Rs 2,61,000.00) as indicated below:
- Coaching fee: Rs 85,050.00 after TDS at the rate of 10% (Rs 9450.00);
- Other training expenses (other than out-of-pocket allowance): Rs 2,61,000.00.
