Google celebrates world’s first PhD holder Elena on her 373rd Birthday

California: Search engine company Google has created a doodle by placing a picture Elena Cornaro Piscopia. Google has made this doodle on 373 birthdays of the female holder of the world’s first Ph.D. degree.

Elena is also known as Helen Cornaro and has also been recognized as a philosopher. She also was one of the most successful musicians as well as linguistics.  Elena was one of the first women who had received a degree from the university. She was Born on 5 June 1646 in Venice, Italy. She was the third child of her parents.

Jianbetista Kornarrow Piscopia was Elena’s father while Jianbetista Kornarrow Piscopia was her mother. Elena received her Ph.D. degree in 1678. Her family’s main occupation was agriculture but later they migrated to the main city to avoid starvation.

Her parents got married after the birth of Elena, in 1654, and later she became a member of the dynasty family. Elena was always interested in studies and she was talented. She was sent to study in schools after the advice taken by a Priest Giovani Fabrice.

Elena had learned French and Spanish besides Latin and Greek languages within seven years. After acquiring proficiency in Harbru and Arabic, she was given the title of ‘Oraqulam Sepyptilingu’.  Elena, who gave her time to study in mathematics, philosophy, and religion, also had a special interest in music.

In the field of music, he considered his talent iron and mastered many musical instruments. After learning to play Veena, Violin, Harpsichord, and Clavichord, she made many melodies. She proved herself in physics, astronomy, and linguistics, and she contributed hugely in the field of education and charity in last 7 years before her death on 26 July 1648.
