Girls outshine boys percentage-wise again in CBSE Class XII results


New Delhi: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) declared the results of XII examinations on Saturday. [Students can now check the results on these websites: 1, 2 and 3]

Out of 11.06 lakh who appeared for the XII exams, a total of 9,18,762 candidates have passed. The overall pass percentage was 83.01% as against last year’s 82.02%.

The have outperformed boys with about 9.32%. The girls have scored 88.31% while the boys are at 78.99%. The pass percentage of Delhi region has seen a marginal increase of 89% this year while in 2017, it was 88.37%.

This year, 72,599 candidates scored 90% and above marks and 12,737 students have got 95% and above marks.

The CBSE conducted the XII examination from 5 to 13 April and the X exam was conducted from 5 March to 4 April. The results for Class X exam will be out in two days.
