A fresh case of coronavirus has been reported from Ghaziabad in Uttar Pradesh. With this, the number of coronavirus-positive cases in India has risen to 30.
Two suspected coronavirus patients from Ghaziabad were admitted to Delhi, out of which one patient has been admitted to Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital. The patient has tested positive.
The news stirred the people of Ghaziabad. Administrative officials are now alert and ready with contingency measures.
Giving details of the case, Chief Medical Officer of Ghaziabad Narendra Kumar Gupta said that a 57-year-old man living in Sector-23 of Ghaziabad had returned to India from Tehran (Iran) on 23 February. He lives near the Police Station Kavi Nagar area with his wife and a son, Gupta said.
The CMO said that a special team of WHO and the administration helped locate the person on 2 March. When he was examined, the person had a high fever. It was considered suspicious. His sample was sent for examination and the man was referred to Ram Manohar Lohia Delhi Hospital and admitted there. Now, the CMO said, the patient has tested positive for coronavirus in the medical examination.
The officer said that the patient’s wife and child present at his house had been kept in home isolation and that their samples had been sent for examination too.
The Ghaziabad administration and Uttar Pradesh medical authority are seeking information from the patients’ acquaintances about who all have come in contact with the person.
This patient in Ghaziabad has a business of chemical and three more employees work in his office, with whom the person met with recently. The authority has sent their samples for examination and kept them in home isolation as well.

So far, Kerala has reported three cases, where the patients have recovered.
A case came to Delhi. Six of his acquaintances were infected too.
A case has surfaced in Telangana.
A total of 17 travellers from Italy were found to be suffering from coronavirus, one of whom is Indian and the 16 others are citizens of Italy.
A case has surfaced in Gurugram.
The latest case has come out of Ghaziabad. The previous case in Delhi-NCR (Noida), where the person was reported to have travelled to Agra, along with his family and the people he had got in touch with, tested negative.
In all, 27 people in India are still vulnerable to this virus.
Until yesterday, three of the 28 patients known till then had recovered, Union Health Minister Dr Harsh Vardhan had informed. The minister had explained the other steps the government is taking to fight the arrival of #coronavirus in India.
