Doordarshan became No.1 channel because of Ramayan, Mahabharat

In the second tweet, Prasar Bharati informed that the re-telecast of Ramayana and Mahabharata broke the record in the first week. The viewership of both shows has reached 100 million. The first week Ramayana got 556 million and Mahabharata 150 million viewership, which is a historical record, before Ramayana created history in the first weekend.

Along with this, according to BARK, only 4 shows of Ramayana got 170 million viewers in the first weekend. On the first Saturday morning, the opening episode of Ramayana received 34 million viewers. Whose rating was 3.4%. The same day night show received a 5.2% rating with 45 million viewers.

In addition, 40 million viewers were received on the second day of the show’s launch i.e. on Sunday morning and 51 million on the night’s episode. Ramayan become the most watched show in Hindi General category. PIB also said in its tweet that Ramayan‘s re-telecast on Doordarshan in Hindi GEC (General Channel) show category 2015 The highest rating has been found since.
