Entertainment Birthday Special: ‘Dimpled girl’ Preity turns 43 today

Mumbai: It is a special day for the ‘dimpled girl’ of Bollywood, Preity Zinta. She turns 43 today. While fans are sharing best wishes for Preity Zinta on social media, Preity’s friends from the Bollywood surprised her with a midnight celebration. Preity shared a photo collage featuring Salman Khan, Sonakshi Singh, Bobby Deol and producer Ramesh Taurani among others. Salman’s rumoured girlfriend Iulia Vantur was also present here and it came as a surprise for us.

Preity Zinta wrote along with the image, “Thank you all for all the wonderful birthday wishes So humbled and so touched by all the good wishes Loads of love! Muaah #aboutlastnight #unplannedgettogether #friendsforever !”

Well, the photo feature stars of the upcoming Remo D’Souza film Race 3 and thus we are wondering if the birthday girl Preity Zinta is also a part of the Salman Khan starrer.

Apart from posing for a number of selfies with her besties, Preity also shared a picture of her beautiful chocolate cake with a message that read, “Happy Birthday Zinta.” While we didn’t spot Preity’s hubby Gene Goodenough in the pictures, we are sure the two will have a blissful year ahead.

The photo also made us nostalgic as it brought together Soldier actors Bobby Deol and Preity Zinta in one frame. Salman and Preity too have worked in a number of films in the past.

Preity Zinta has been away from films for a while now, but she is seen attending award shows, premieres, and parties.

Zinta received the Filmfare Award for Best Actress in 2003 for her performance in the romantic drama Kal Ho Naa Ho. She went on to play the lead female role in two consecutive annual top-grossing films in India, the science fiction film Koi… Mil Gaya (2003), which is her biggest commercial success, and the star-crossed romance Veer-Zaara (2004), which earned her critical acclaim. She was later noted for her portrayal of independent, modern Indian women in Salaam Namaste (2005) and Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna (2006), top-grossing productions in overseas markets.
