Washington: Pornstar Stormy Daniels released a composite sketch on Tuesday of the man she alleges threatened her in 2011 and is offering a $100,000 reward to anyone who can identify the perpetrator.
She claims that this man threatened her in a Las Vegas parking lot seven years ago, warning her not to talk about her alleged sexual encounter with Donald Trump.
Daniels alleges that she had a sexual encounter with Trump in 2006 and that she signed a secret agreement just days before the 2016 election in exchange for the promise to stay quiet about the alleged affair. She is now suing Trump in the hopes of voiding that agreement.
“I’m done being bullied,” she said of legal threats from Trump’s personal lawyer Michael Cohen, who is now embroiled in his own troubles with the law.
The development also comes at a grave moment for a key figure in the Daniels saga — Trump’s longtime personal lawyer, Michael Cohen. Cohen claims to have orchestrated the non-disclosure agreement with Daniels and says he used $130,000 of his own money to pay her off.
Last week, the FBI raided Cohen’s home, office and the hotel room in New York City. Sources said authorities seized information related to Stephanie Clifford, Daniels’ legal name, and that the search included bank records.
Cohen, Trump’s long-time personal lawyer and fixer, is under criminal investigation by the FBI. The nature of the probe has not been revealed.
Last week, agents confiscated documents in a raid on Cohen’s home, hotel room, office and a safety deposit box. They also seized two cellphones.
Some of the documents seized by the FBI reportedly relate to a payment of $130,000 that Cohen admits making to Daniels, who claims she had a one-night stand with Trump in July 2006 in Lake Tahoe.
Trump has denied any knowledge of the hush agreement payment to Daniels, which was made just days before the November 2016 presidential election.
The sketch showed a dark-haired man in his 30s or 40s who was between five feet nine inches and six feet tall and “lean but fit.”
Cohen has threatened Daniels with up to $20 million in damages for breaching the October 2016 non-disclosure agreement.
Daniels is challenging the validity of the agreement in court, saying Trump never signed it. Daniels is also suing Cohen for defamation and has sought to force the president to testify under oath.
