Coronavirus strikes Kerala for the second time

The second case of coronavirus has been confirmed in Kerala. The Union Ministry of Health gave information about it on Sunday. According to the Ministry of Health, the patient has been kept in isolation. Currently, his condition is stable and is being monitored.

Earlier, a student from Kerala was confirmed to be in the grip of coronavirus. Kerala reported that case on 30 January.

Considering the threat of the virus, the process of bringing back Indian students and professionals from China continues. On Sunday, Air India’s second aircraft returned to India carrying 323 Indians. Earlier on Saturday morning, 324 Indians were brought to Delhi from Wuhan province of China.

Union Health Minister Dr Harsh Vardhan held a review meeting on Saturday evening to mull over ways to contain the novel coronavirus that has arrived in India. Dr Harsh Vardhan is constantly getting information about all the people coming from China to India and taking stock of the arrangements to make them stay.

After the review meeting on coronavirus in the Union Health Ministry, Dr Harsh Vardhan said that by Saturday evening, thermal screening of 52,332 passengers who arrived in India by 326 different aircraft at various airports across the country had been done. Let us tell you that more than 300 people have died due to the spread of the virus from China.

Dr Harsh Vardhan said that samples of 98 persons have been sent for an examination of coronavirus. A team of specialist doctors is treating patients suffering from respiratory diseases caused by the virus. They have been kept in a secluded ward.

CNBC has reported that the “number of confirmed cases in China early Sunday was at least 14,380 with 304 deaths and one death outside China”. The Philippines reported the death on Sunday morning. “Business has been shut down in more than half of China — 21 provinces that accounted for more than 80% of national GDP last year — in an effort to contain the virus,” says the news portal.
