Cabinet approves bonus for railway employees

The Cabinet has approved the payment of Productivity Linked Bonus (PLB) for railway men, equivalent to 78 days wages.

The meeting which was chaired by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi, has given its approval to pay Productivity Linked Bonus (PLB) equivalent to 78 days wages to eligible non-gazetted railway employees (excluding /RPSF personnel) for the financial year 2015-16. The approval entails a financial implication of approximately Rs.2090.96 crore.

All-India Railwaymen’s Federation general secretary Shiv Gopal Mishra said, “since the PLB ceiling has been revised to Rs 7,000 from Rs 3, 500, we expect each employee will get double the amount as against the last year’s bonus.”

The payment of this bonus will be made before Dussehra/Puja holidays.

Nation is still in gloom. A huge setback for the Forces, for Govt, for India, in general. For Uttarakhand, the loss is very personal. State has always been very proud to give India its first CDS. Those Pahaadi identified with him. Those Pahaad have given so many warriors 💔🇮🇳🙏 https://twitter.com/timesofindia/status/1468802052373594125
