Patna/New Delhi: The case bodyguards of Bihar’s former health minister and Lalu Yadav’s eldest son Tej Pratap Yadav beating a photojournalist could land him in trouble. Ironically, it’s Tej Pratap Yadav who has filed a written complaint against photo-journalist Ranjan Rahi at the airport police station. The Election Commission is taking the matter seriously.
According to chief electoral officer HR Srinivas, the commission has sought information of the entire incident from Patna DM Kumar Ravi. Further action will be taken on the basis of the report.
On the other hand, the commission has taken a tough stand on the incident of the attack on the car of a BDO and the case of EVM break in Rajgir of Nalanda. The Bihar government has been asked to identify the culprits immediately and lodge an FIR about the incident.
The incident occurred when photojournalist Ranjan Rahi was covering Patna’s Veterinary College area on Sunday. The bodyguards of Tej Pratap not only reprimanded the journalist but also chased and beat him.
Ranjan Rahi was hurt in this incident. He informed the local police station about the assault on him. In the video of the incident, the bodyguards of Tej Pratap Yadav can be seen beating Rahi.

This son of Lalu Prasad Yadav has been in news for the past two months over his estrangement with wife Aishwarya, parents-in-law and even his own parents and brother Tejashwi Yadav.
Tej Pratap earlier made news for his weird get-ups, sporting the looks of Lord Krishna and a hermit.
Tej Pratap took exception to the Rashtriya Janata Dal’s nominations for a few seats where he wanted candidates favoured by him to be fielded. When the RJD leadership declined his request, he rebelled, threatening to wreck the party from within. He resigned from the post of the patron of the RJD students’ union in March. There has been no improvement in Tej Pratap’s relationship with his family for a long time.
