Mumbai: Megastar Amitabh Bachchan has been voted the most engaging Indian actor on Facebook in a new survey. According to Score Trends, Big B has over 30 million followers on the popular social networking site.

Score Trends India is a global media tech company that tracks all media across languages and gives weekly rankings of celebrities based on the stars’ power to stay in news.

The survey announced Bachchan as the numero uno actor with 100 points on Facebook. The 75-year-old star is active on media platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, among others and has a personal blog on Tumblr.

Salman Khan ranked second with 95 points, Shah Rukh Khan got the third position with the score of 68, Ranveer Singh at fourth spot with 52 points, followed by Akshay Kumar with 49 points.

“What worked in Bachchan’s favour was his soaring popularity on Facebook on which the actor has 100% engagement on his posts and official page and that is huge for any Indian celebrity,” Ashwani Kaul, co-founder of Score Trends, said in a statement.

Bachchan, who had earlier threatened to quit Twitter accusing the microblogging site of reducing the number of his followers, retweeted the survey’s findings.

“YES, now Twitter can you please oblige…” Big B tweeted.

Big B, who has 34.4 million followers on Twitter, had earlier threatened to leave the social media platform, accusing it of reducing the number of his followers.

On the work front, Amitabh Bachchan last featured in 102 Not Out with Rishi Kapoor which is an unconventional story about a father and son bonding. Amitabh plays the 102-year-old father whereas Rishi Kapoor is his 75-year-old son. Amitabh Bachchan will also be seen in Ayan Mukerji-directed Brahmastra, which stars Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt. One of the year’s most anticipated films, Thugs of Hindostan, will also see the actor share screen space with Aamir Khan and Katrina Kaif.
