Akshaya Tritiya is one of the most auspicious days of the year. Faith holds that on this day, good deeds like wedding, moving to a new house or vehicle, starting a new job, etc bring good luck. This festival is celebrated every year on the third day of the month of Baisakha. A believer must worship and Lakshmi on this day.

Three special additions have been made to this year’s Akshay Tritiya. This time, Akshay Tritiya will be celebrated between Rohini Nakshatra and Shobhana Yoga. This Akshaya Tritiya is the best time to buy gold, silver, barley or earthenware between 5:39 AM of Tuesday and 5:38 AM of Wednesday.

In addition to shopping, donating on Akshaya Tritiya is opens floodgates of fortune for the believer. Donating water in particular is considered the most auspicious. Donate at least a jug of water on this day. Offer water to travellers and keep some water at vantage points for animals and birds.

If possible, go for a pilgrimage to Char Dham. Planting saplings on Akshaya Tritiya, providing grains and water for animals and birds are very auspicious too.
