Akshay Kumar has made history. He has become the only Bollywood actor to earn Rs 700 crore at the box office in a year. In 2015, Salman Khan had earned Rs 500 crore in the ‘one year club’. That year his film Bajrangi Bhaijaan (Rs 320.34 crore) and Prem Ratan Dhan Payo (Rs 210.16 crore) were released and their total collection was worth Rs 530.50 crore.

Last year, had joined the club with (Rs 302.15 crore) and Simba (Rs 240.31 crore). The two films together had grossed Rs 542.46 crore.

When Akshay Kumar released four films in 2019, pundits were hoping that he would be the third member of this club. But Akshay not only entered the 500 crore club but went ahead of Salman and Ranveer to earn a record Rs 700 crore.

Akshay started in 2019 with the film Kesari, which earned Rs 154.41 crore. His second release last year was Mission Mangal that grossed Rs 202.98 crore. His third film Housefull 4 grossed Rs 194.60 crore and Good Newwz, his latest release, grossed Rs 162.10 crore. In this way, he reached the mark of Rs 700 crore. His 2019 films grossed 714.09 crores.

Akshay Kumar’s fellow actors are nowhere near him. Hrithik Roshan has secured the second position by earning Rs 317.91 crore from the film War and Rs 146.94 crore from Super 30. His total collection is Rs 464.85 crore.

Tiger Shroff is in the third position. He earned Rs 387.02 crore from War (317.91) and 2 (Rs 69.11 crore).

Salman Khan is in the fourth position this year. His films (Rs 211.07 crore) and Dabangg 3 (Rs 142.24 crore) earned a total of Rs 352.31 crore. Dabangg 3 is still in the theatres; we can expect something more from it.
